My cousin bought a little Springer spaniel pup. It&#39;s from good lines and it will be a great little dog to beat out the dense cover for woodcock.
They&#39;re great when they&#39;re that age and you don&#39;t have to feed them or clean them and you can give them back or it&#39;s not your shoes they&#39;re

			<title><![CDATA[ Gus passed away. ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Last night my yellow lab, Gus passed away.
<br>
He was 9 years old and the Vet believes it to have been cancer.
<br>
We found out his mother died at the same age of cancer and his dad passed at age 12 from cancer as well.
<br>

You might remember some of his photos that have been posted here over the years.
<br>
He was usually hunting with my Brittany, Lola.
<br>
They were quite a team.
<br>
Gus wouldn&#39;t let me loose a dead bird.
<br>
He will be sorely missed.

   I am wondering about the possibility of a snake bite to my dog. Where we will be hunting there can be both Rattle Snakes and Water Moccasins. I am checking
with my Vet about the Rattle snake vacinations but I know less about the Moccasins.

 What would the first aid in the field be? Or tips on avoidence? Any first hand experiences or tips would be helpful.

			<description><![CDATA[ In my trying to keep my mind off the loss of Rye I have been looking at different dog breeds. I have been thinking that in the future I might get a smaller
slower bird dog. That seems to put me in the spaniel breeds. My favorite is the Springer as it points but that might be faster than I wish. The English Cocker
then came to mine. In the reading I have done, I have found out that originally the EC was developed as a snipe dog. The present field bred EC&#39;s will even

			<description><![CDATA[ I had been jogging Rye with my bicycle. I gave him too much rope and he darted behind the bike after a bird wrecking me. Cracked or broken ribs and a
dislocated right shoulder were the results.

I now have a K-9 Jogger to use with the bike. Works very well but I am not getting much exercise. Rye runs as fast as he can while pulling me along. After he
tires I get some exercise.

			<title><![CDATA[ Worried about our boy ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ He is at the age where things start failing. In February he was at the vet and he was in pretty good shape but the aging progresses quickly at his age. The
last couple of days he has been lethargic and without an appetite. Last night he ate but it took putting a snipe in his dinner to get him to do it. Today he
hasn&#39;t shown much interest at all in food. He had a few small pieces of apple and one snipe this morning plus a Cosequin DS tablet that he gets every day.

			<description><![CDATA[ My whippet is dieing slowly. Brady is 14 1/2 years old. He drinks and eats but it does not do him much good. He will trot and wants attention and loves to be
