Zorro, my 4 year old lab, likes to fish with me. Lobo, now 13, prefers the air conditioning or the fan on the porch. We have another black dog found in a
ditch and named Blacky by my nephew.
Zorro enjoys the canoe and the water but clearly is not impressed with my skills as a fisherman.
Zorro inspects the canoe for seaworthiness while Blacky just sniffs around.

Zorro keeps a sharp eye out for signs of fish activity.
More alert watchfulness.
When I do "catch" one (if you look closely, you can see that the unlucky fish just swam too close to the lure and caught himself) Zorro is aghast
that I would engage in fish snagging. He is also non- plussed with its size.
I decide I have to do something to impress my dog. And I do.
Zorro does not say a word.
