Thanks to Skip, and I do thank you, I spotted another BSA for about half the price on the Gunbroker web site. I bought it for my daughter. She and I liked the old fashioned fluer de lis checkering on the forearm and stock. She likes to hunt and shoot, but does not do it too often. I am hoping that a $500 gun will hold up for her use, and I think it will. When it arrives, I will post some photos. She had been using an Ithaca SKB Model 500 that had some problems. I sold that gun, gave her the money and bought her what I hope is a better gun. She is an architect and likes to be stylish, and is excitted about the fact that the gun is a side by side.

Skip suggested that I look at GunBroker for a gun for my daughter. I did, and I bought this BSA 20 gauge Classic for her. It has choke tubes, is
in very good shape, and should be a solid field gun. It has a short LOP and 26 inch barrels, which should be just right for her. My daughter shot it this
weekend, on Father's Day, and she like it. I shot it a bit, and I liked it. It has case coloring, engraving by the ubiquitous Machinero and fluer de lis
checkering, also by Machinero. The gun is Spanish, and is put together like my Garbi, but the difference in quality is obvious. Still, for someone who does not
shoot a lot and who is not somewhat obsessed with shotguns (I think my condition is still correctly described as "somewhat") I am please with it and
so is my daughter. Thanks for the suggestion Skip. I did not pay much for this gun, and I paid half the price of the gun I was looking at when Skip
intervened. I think this gun is in better condition than the gun I was thinking about buying. It does have a green plastic sight that I wish were a simple
bead.
