I always found the gloves vastly improved my grip Chagaman, they protect my fingertips on the doubles, and absorb sweat on hot days, the leather with some
padding absorb recoil making a long day shooting more enjoyable and the grip only increases on the stock the more I shoot and perspire.
I am the only one at any range here wearing gloves and most assume I am wearing golf gloves, and are surprised to find they are shooting gloves designed especially for the side by side.
I am glad to hear someone with your skill level and experience uses gloves, I will be able to say when questioned that all the best Skeet champions use them too!
Any supporting facts you can provide showing that fat and balding late middle aged men break more targets would also be very welcome, but I doubt that it can be argued successfully other than for recoil absorbtion and increased aerodynamics
