I don't know if it was your dead snipe or not, but a couple of years ago during the winter I was over at Floyd's shop and saw a dead snipe on one of the Bishop boats he was building.  I assumed it was a real snipe that he was using as a color reference.  Two weeks later, I came back and the snipe was still on the boat.  I poked it and discovered it was a carving.  What is astounding is that in the photos you displayed, everything depicted in them was carved by Floyd from the shotgun shells, to shotgun shell box, the "stumps", limbs, grass, leaves, bases, everything was carved from wood or metal.  That's a wonderful carving you have; I know you are proud of it as you should be.   Gil
